Jose Quintana Preparing to Start on Sunday Against Phillies
Jose Quintana (shoulder) is back from his one-game minor-league rehab assignment and said he has normal soreness but otherwise feels fine, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Quintana is preparing to come off the injured list to start on Sunday on the road against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. The 36-year-old southpaw is ready to return to the big-league starting rotation after tossing 71 pitches over four innings in his rehab start with High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday. Quintana has had a good start to his 2025 season in Milwaukee, going 4-1 with a 2.65 ERA (4.54 FIP) and 1.23 WHIP with 24 strikeouts and 11 walks in 34 innings over six starts, but his 4.54 FIP points to regression coming. We wouldn't recommend using him as a fantasy streamer this weekend against a Phillies offense that ranks fifth in MLB with a .744 OPS.
