Jose Peraza Out For Second Straight Day

Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jose Peraza is not in the starting lineup again on Thursday. Derek Dietrich will start at the keystone and is hitting fifth against Braves starting pitcher Julio Teheran. After a breakout year in 2018, Peraza is off to a rough start, hitting .157/.169/.229 with a homer, three RBI and two steals in 22 games. The fact that he's no longer hitting atop the Reds order is bad news as well, and he could continue to lose playing time if he doesn't turn things around soon. Dietrich is only batting .222 but has five home runs and 13 RBI on the year. He's batting .348 with two long balls and five RBI in 23 career at-bats against Teheran, too, so plug him into your daily lineups.
