Jose Altuve Records Three Hits In Return
4 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 3-for-5 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base out of the leadoff spot in a 5-2 win over the Seattle Mariners on Monday in his return after missing nearly two weeks due to a positive COVID-19 test. In the process, he raised his batting average to .347 with his first three-hit game of the year since the second game of the season. Infielder Abraham Toro was optioned to the team's alternate training site and Pedro Baez was moved to the 60-day injured list to make room on the roster for Altuve. The 30-year-old had a very disappointing season last year, so fantasy managers should be ecstatic that Altuve was able to return on Monday without missing a beat. Hopefully, he'll continue to stay hot as a must-start fantasy asset.
