Jose Altuve Hits Walk-Off Home Run Against Yankees
3 years agoHouston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve went 1-for-5 with three runs batted in as the Astros mounted a furious comeback to beat the Yankees 8-7 on Sunday. Altuve's one hit was the icing on the cake, smoking a three-run blast into the seats of Minute Maid Park to cap off a six-run ninth inning. It has been a sluggish month offensively for Altuve, who has opted out of playing in the All-Star game so he can rest a leg injury that has hampered him for weeks. The former MVP, however, will head into the All-Star break with an impressive .278/.361/.498 line including 10 doubles, 20 home runs, 55 runs batted in and 65 runs scored through 317 at-bats this season.
