Jose Abreu, Eloy Jimenez Will Sit In Season Finale
2 years agoChicago White Sox acting manager Miguel Cairo said that first baseman Jose Abreu and outfielders Eloy Jimenez and AJ Pollock will get the season finale off on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins. Abreu will finish his 2022 season with a strong .304/.378/.446 slash line with an .824 OPS, 15 homers, 75 RBI and 85 runs scored in 601 at-bats. Jimenez only managed to play in 84 games, but he was solid when on the field with a .295/.358/.500 slash line with an .858 OPS, 16 homers, 54 RBI and 40 runs scored. And finally, Pollock hit a pedestrian .245/.292/.389 with 14 home runs, 56 RBI, 61 runs scored and three stolen bases in 527 plate appearances over 138 games in his first year in Chicago.
