Jorge Soler Shows Off His Patience
5 years agoFor the first time in over a year, Kansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler walked three times in a single game. Soler's three walks on Friday amounted to just the third time in his entire career that he's walked three or more times in a game, and it was just the second time it had happened without him being walked intentionally. Soler has been hitting at a torrid pace recently, and he still drilled a double on Friday as well. He's closing in on the franchise record for home runs in a single season, he's raised his batting average to a perfectly acceptable .261, and he's only striking out 26.1% of the time, his lowest strikeout rate as a member of the Royals. Soler looks like he's truly turned a corner.
