Jorge Polanco Returns From Injured List
2 years agoThe Minnesota Twins activated infielder Jorge Polanco (knee) from the 15-day injured list on Friday and optioned infield prospect Edouard Julien to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. The team also optioned right-hander Jorge Alcala to St. Paul and called up right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson. Polanco missed the start of the 2023 season due to a left knee injury, but he's set to make his season debut on Friday against the Washington Nationals, and he should be a lineup regular at second base moving forward. The 29-year-old wasn't hitting very well during his short stay in the minors, but he should still be rostered in the vast majority of fantasy formats. Julien, the team's No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline, had six hits in his first 27 major-league at-bats with two homers, four RBI and nine strikeouts in eight games.
