Jorge Polanco Pulled Early With Hamstring Tightness
2 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jorge Polanco (hamstring) was forced from Thursday's game early against the Tampa Bay Rays with left-hamstring tightness. Polanco injured his hamstring running the bases in the first inning after going 0-for-1. It's the same hamstring that caused him to land on the injured list recently, too, so there's a chance that he'll need to go right back on the IL. That would be a pretty disappointing blow for both the Twins and fantasy managers. The 29-year-old Dominican switch-hitter has only played in 30 games so far this year due to injuries, and he entered Thursday's contest hitting .252 (30-for-119) with nine doubles, five home runs, 16 RBI and 11 runs scored. Check back for updates on the severity of Polanco's hamstring injury.
