Jorge Polanco Dealing With Hamstring Strain
2 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jorge Polanco (hamstring) suffered a mild left-hamstring strain in the 7-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. Polanco could end up missing a few days with the injury, but for now it looks like he'll be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. The 29-year-old middle infielder went 1-for-3 in the loss on Wednesday and is now hitting .284 on the season. Polanco has seven doubles, four home runs, 14 RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base on the season in 98 plate appearances and 22 games played. When healthy, he'll remain the team's starting second baseman. He was an All-Star in 2021, but injuries have mostly hurt him in two of the last three seasons.
