2 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo is taking a routine day off during a matinee contest on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. Mateo recently missed some time with a hip injury, although he's moved past the issue now and is just getting a breather in a day game. The 27-year-old Dominican has been lights-out in the early going for the O's and fantasy managers alike, slashing .351/.400/.649 with a 1.049 OPS, five doubles, four home runs, 13 RBI, eight stolen bases and 17 runs scored in 19 games played. Keep rolling him out there in fantasy lineups when he's on the field and swinging a hot bat. Gunnar Henderson is handling shortstop and hitting fifth, while Ramon Urias is at third base and batting eighth on Wednesday against Red Sox right-hander Tanner Houck.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
