Jordan Yamamoto 2020 Outlook: Risky Sophomore Upside
5 years agoMiami Marlins pitcher Jordan Yamamoto showed the ability to miss bats last season, but he also showed a tendency to get wild and lose his control. If he can continue to be hard to hit but add some more accuracy to his pitches, he could develop into a legitimate fantasy asset. Yamamoto is currently competing for a rotation spot, but seems destined to be a bullpen arm in the long term. For now, Yamamoto is a "wait and see" guy in most formats, but could be a later round option in NL-only and deep mixed leagues for owners willing to take a chance on some nice upside.
