Jordan Howard Competing For Final Spot On Depth Chart
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard will be competing with Kerryon Johnson and Boston Scott for one of the final spots on the running back depth chart this summer behind starter Miles Sanders. Since Howard re-signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal in April for no guaranteed money, Philadelphia added rookie Kenneth Gainwell in the fifth round out of Memphis and claimed Johnson off waivers in May. In just seven games with the Eagles and Miami Dolphins in 2020, the 26-year-old had 60 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 35 attempts. Howard is a one-dimensional, short-yardage/goal-line back, so he'll probably need to really stand out in training camp to have a shot at making the final 53-man roster.
