1 year agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison had two catches for 27 yards in Sunday's win over the Raiders. The rookie was red-hot to begin the 2023-24 campaign. However, since Kirk Cousins (Achilles) went down in late October for the rest of the season, Addison hasn't found the end zone. At any rate, there's no denying Addison's abilities on the field. While the 21-year-old is no longer the must-start fantasy option he was earlier in the season, he can get it going whenever he's on the field, keeping him in the flex conversation for Week 15 against the Bengals, no matter who's under center for Minnesota. His stock will rise even more if Justin Jefferson (chest) can't suit up after exiting in his first appearance following a seven-game absence.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will line up for his first career playoff start against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. The 22-year-old's 2024 was an improvement from his debut campaign despite a dip in statistics. However, he'd likely have set new career highs across the board had he not missed two games early on with an ankle injury. While he put up a donut in the fantasy column – on six targets -- in last weekend's loss to the Detroit Lions, Addison is a strong option in the Wild Card round. He'll get a Rams defense that's overall been a favorable spot for wideouts this season – allowing 34 fantasy points per game. With teammate Justin Jefferson undoubtedly due for double coverage, the second-year pro should be afforded plenty of open looks. The former USC Trojan is RotoBaller's PPR WR8 for this weekend's slate.--Alex Ciulla

3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison caught 1-of-6 targets and gained no yards in his team's 31-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. Oof. Addison didn't receive his first target until the Vikings' first drive of the second quarter -- a bubble screen he caught for no gain. The next play was a deep shot to him in the end zone where he had a step on the defender, but quarterback Sam Darnold overthrew him. Otherwise, he and Darnold were not on the same page Sunday night. Detroit's defense was hungry and made a statement with linebacker Alex Anzalone back in the lineup -- keeping the QB out of rhythm and disrupting plays on the back end. With the loss, Minnesota will forego a week off and line up against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium next Monday night. It's another exploitable matchup for the Vikes, so expect them to come out swinging in a win-or-go-home Wild Card clash.--Alex Ciulla

3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison should be in store for another productive outing in Sunday night's divisional clash with the Detroit Lions. The second-year wideout has improved in his sophomore campaign, generating a modest 4.4 receptions and 62.5 yards per game compared to 4.1 and 53.5 from a season ago. After a shaky start to the year, Addison has posted just two single-digit fantasy performances since Week 9 – rattling off 644 yards and nine touchdowns across 48 receptions in that span. The 22-year-old gets a dream matchup this Sunday night against a Lions defense that's let up the most receiving yards per game to WRs (3,040). Despite two fewer appearances thus far in 2024, he still has a chance to set new career-high marks – needing eight receptions, two scores, and 37 yards. Addison clocks in as RotoBaller's PPR WR17 in this week's rankings.--Alex Ciulla

3 months agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison corralled 6-of-8 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-25 win over their division-rival Green Bay Packers. Addison has come on nicely and been superb over the last two months plus. Since Week 9, he's the PPR WR5 and notched at least eight targets in all but three appearances. The second-year wideout has matured while playing across from teammate Justin Jefferson, evolving the tandem into a formidable WR duo that's given defenses headaches. Addison could have had an even bigger game but let a perfectly thrown ball fall to the turf on what would have been a 39-yard TD. Expect the 22-year-old and the Vikings offense to be out in full force next weekend in a premier meeting with the Detroit Lions.--Alex Ciulla
