Jonas Valanciunas Scores 16 Points Off The Bench
6 years agoToronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas had an efficient scoring night as a reserve in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. He finished the game with 16 points on 7-for-11 shootings, to go along with nine rebounds, two assists, and two three-pointers. With head coach Nick Nurse rotating his starting centers based on matchups, it's nice to see Valanciunas producing no matter what the role. He also hit his first two three-pointers of the season last night and with Nurse’s free-flowing offense is encouraged to take more, which should help his fantasy value overall. Also, Valanciunas may draw the start next time out because he will in all likelihood, be matched up with Dallas Mavericks center DeAndre Jordan on Friday night.
