Jon Gray Strong Against Toronto
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray shut out the Blue Jays for 6 2/3 innings on Saturday as the Rockies won their seventh straight game. Gray only allowed two hits in the match and struck out seven as he posted his third quality start in his last five outings. In fantasy, Gray's up-and-down nature has forced him into the role of spot starter who could greatly help or hurt an owner in any given outing, but his strikeout potential is high enough that he's often worth the risk. Gray has struck out a batter an inning or better in five of his last six turns, so he could be turning a corner to some extent. He'll draw a friendly contest in New York against the Mets next week.
