John Means Takes Loss Saturday

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means fell to 5-4 in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Indians. Means pitched five innings, allowing three runs on five hits (including a two-run home run) and three walks with a strikeout. The 26-year-old has been a surprise success this season, posting a 2.68 ERA with 34 strikeouts and 13 walks in 43 2/3 IP. However, his 4.28 SIERA suggests that he has been getting lucky and that his numbers could regressive for the worse. He will next face the Rockies in dreaded Coors Field, where only but the best pitchers should be sat.
