John Gant Holds His Own Despite Five Walks On Sunday

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher John Gant was able to last five innings in Sunday's start despite clearly not being at his best against the Philadelphia Phillies. In Gant's five frames, he allowed two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five. He ended up throwing 88 pitches, just 51 for strikes. Gant took the loss to drop to 0-2 on the season and saw his ERA move to 3.21. He's more of a streaming option than a reliable every-fifth-day starter in most fantasy formats.
