Joe Ryan Notches Third Straight Victory
Joe Ryan yielded four hits and two earned runs in his team's 6-3 win against the Toronto Blue Jays. Ryan punched out six batters over five innings of work and issued three free passes to pick up his third straight win. It wasn't the 29-year-old's most efficient outing, as he walked three batters for the second time in as many appearances after not having done so through his first ten. Still, he was effective again, improving to 7-2 on the season. He boasts a superb 2.96 ERA and 0.93 WHIP through 73 innings with an exceptional 82:15 K:BB ratio. Ryan will look to continue his stellar season the next time he toes the rubber -- on the road against the Houston Astros later this week.
