Jimmy Garoppolo Not Worried About Brandon Aiyuk

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo isn't worried about wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's slow start (one catch for six yards in two games) this season. "Honestly, he does a great job in practice every day. He brings it — right attitude, right mindset," Garoppolo said. "I think, honestly, it's just a matter of time. And I know there's a lot of panic and things like that in the air." Aiyuk had a team-high 748 receiving yards in 2020 as a rookie despite missing four games, and he was a target on 17.3 percent of the team's throws. The Niners continue to say that Aiyuk's slow start was due to a late-August hamstring strain that kept him from practicing. The 23-year-old should slowly start to see more snaps and more targets the further he gets from his hamstring injury, but until that happens, he'll be a risky flex play for fantasy managers.
