5 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson will attempt to win his sixth race at Atlanta Motor Speedway as he takes the green flag from the 15th position in Sunday's Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Johnson and the No. 48 crew have enjoyed a lot of success at Atlanta over the years, but recently it has been a major struggle. In his past three AMS starts, Johnson has failed to finish on the lead lap, with an average finish of 23.3. Given how much better the Chevy teams have been running this year, Johnson may buck the trend this Sunday. However, Johnson is among the high-priced options for DFS.
