Jhostynxon Garcia Launches Two Long Balls on Tuesday
Jhostynxon Garcia went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI during their contest against Triple-A Saint Paul on Tuesday evening. Over his last eight contests, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the Boston system has only gone hitless once and held a stellar .387/.472/.581 slash line with a 6:4 K:BB. After starting the campaign with Double-A Portland, Garcia has looked quite comfortable since earning the bump to Triple-A Worcester. Through his first 44 games with the Worcester Red Sox, Garcia has posted an elite .300/.379/.553 slash line with six doubles,11 home runs, and a 48:21 K:BB. Given his rather quick progression in the upper minor leagues, the 22-year-old could push for a late-season MLB debut.
