Jets Open Practice Window For Aaron Rodgers
1 year agoThe New York Jets officially opened the 21-day practice window for quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles), who remains on Injured Reserve after tearing his Achilles in the season opener. The Jets now have 21 days to officially activate Rodgers from IR. The 39-year-old has made an incredible recovery from his Achilles tear, but he's still not ready to play while rehabbing full-time at the team's facilities. Rodgers still hopes to play this year, but he needs to be healthy and the Jets need to be in the playoff race, so the fact that the team opened his practice window doesn't necessarily mean Rodgers will play again in 2023. Still, it's a step in the right direction, and he could begin individual drills in practice at some point this week. Zach Wilson was benched in favor of Tim Boyle last week, and Boyle will make a second straight start this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. UPDATE: Rodgers was limited in practice on Wednesday.
