9 months agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Jerryd Bayless has provided a nice boost off the bench the last two games as the Wolves are dealing with several injuries in their backcourt. Bayless set season highs with 16 points and eight assists as well as 30 minutes of playing time in Thursday's victory over the Lakers. He was 6-for-15 from the field, 3-for-8 from beyond the arc, and 1-for-1 from the free throw line for the game. The 30-year-old has played in a season-best five straight games as Tyus Jones, Derrick Rose, and Jeff Teague have missed time due to injuries recently. Jones will miss his fifth straight game on Friday with an ankle injury while Rose is questionable for tonight's game against the Jazz after leaving last night's game in the first half with an ankle issue. Bayless, who tallied 14 points against the Suns on Tuesday, has compiled 37 points, 17 assists and eight rebounds over the last three games. With Teague having returned to the lineup against the Lakers, Bayless will come off the bench once again versus Utah, but his exact role is unknown with Rose's status unknown. Regardless, the 11th-year pro does not currently have any fantasy value.--Daniel Benjamin
