Jerick McKinnon Will Have To Take Pay Cut
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said that the team will work on a pay cut for running back Jerick McKinnon (knee). McKinnon said he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay with the team, so he'll have to take a pay cut or be cut after not playing in a single game with the team the last two seasons due to injuries. Even if Matt Breida is signed away by another team as a restricted free agent, McKinnon would start the 2020 season behind Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman in the backfield. And that's assuming he's fully healthy to begin the year. Unless there are multiple injuries to San Fran's top backs, McKinnon should go undrafted in the majority of leagues this fall.
