7 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) received an MRI showing no structural damage, but he is still expected to miss one turn in the rotation. Samardzija is all but officially on the disabled list, and the Giants are recalling pitching prospect Tyler Beede, but it is unclear who will start in place of Samardzija. Ty Blach was expected to be moved to the bullpen but is the most likely option to start Sunday, but Beede and Dereck Rodriguez also have a shot at getting the nod. The expectation is that Samardzija will miss just one start, as the MRI did come back clean. None of the potential spot starters have much fantasy intrigue, depending on the matchup.--Feldman Zach
