Jeff McNeil Back In Action Against Phillies
2 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil (groin) has returned to the lineup on Tuesday. He is starting at the keystone and is hitting seventh in the batting order against Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Mild groin tightness kept the 31-year-old veteran infielder out of Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies, but after Monday's off day on Memorial Day, he'll return to action against the division rivals. In single-year formats, fantasy managers will want to get McNeil back into their starting lineups, even against a southpaw. In 68 plate appearances against lefties so far this year, McNeil is hitting a cool .291 (16-for-55), although he has no home runs against them and only two total on the year.
