Jean Segura Swipes A Base Thursday
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jean Segura went 1-for-4 with an RBI and his third stolen base of the 2023 season in Thursday's 5-3 victory over the visiting Washington Nationals. Segura was the Marlins' leadoff man for the first time this year on Thursday, and he took advantage of it. Despite a weak .276 on-base percentage through 39 games in his first season in Miami, Segura has reached base safely now in his last six games. But overall he's been a fantasy disappointment, hitting .211 (28-for-133) with three doubles, a triple, no home runs, five RBI and 11 runs scored in 146 trips to the plate. The 33-year-old will need to continue getting on base to stick in the leadoff spot, but as long as he stays there, he'll have slightly more DFS appeal.
