Jaylen Waddle Underperforms Amidst QB Turmoil

Miami Dolphins wide receiver hauled in three of five targets for 52 yards during Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. He significantly underperformed relative to his projections, likely due to the fact that Miami can't stay healthy at quarterback. With Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) sidelined, Teddy Bridgewater started for Miami. However, Bridgewater (finger) himself exited, giving way to rookie Skylar Thompson. Waddle and Thompson were unable to form a rapport in the second half, and it's hard to imagine much changes over the next week. If Thompson starts for the Dolphins in Week 18, fantasy managers should view Waddle as a low-end WR2. A healthy Tagovailoa or Bridgewater would bump Waddle into the top-15 range.
