Javonte Williams Could Break Out Against Raiders
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Javonte Williams has underwhelmed so far for fantasy managers through the first three weeks of the season, and he has just three more carries than backfield mate Melvin Gordon III. Williams has been more efficient, though, racking up 176 yards on the ground (4.8 yards per carry). He's also second on the team with 15 receptions on 21 targets for 77 yards, although he's yet to find the end zone through three games. But Gordon's presence in this timeshare is keeping Williams from having a true RB1 ceiling for his fantasy managers. Despite the nuisance, the 22-year-old second-year back will be a strong high-end RB2 in Week 4 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, a team that has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game (25.4) to opposing RBs in half-point PPR leagues so far.
