San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that former first-round defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee) underwent season-ending right knee surgery. "They think they solved the problem," Shanahan said. The 24-year-old played in only four games in his second season in the NFL and finished with eight tackles and no sacks. Kinlaw already had some concerns about his knee when he was taken 14th overall in the 2020 draft, and he missed the final two games of his rookie season with knee issues. The Niners are expected to activate Kevin Givens (ankle) from Injured Reserve once they place Kinlaw on IR. Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (calf) has already been ruled out for Week 8 against the Chicago Bears, and defensive end Dee Ford (concussion) is doubtful.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
