Jarred Kelenic Steals Career-High Seventh Base
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic continued to produce for his fantasy managers in the team's 10-4 loss to the visiting New York Yankees on Monday night, when he went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a strikeout and his seventh stolen base of the season. Kelenic's seventh stolen base of the year set a new career-high. Along with the stolen bases, the 23-year-old is rewarding those that bought into his post-hype breakout in 2023. After Monday's performance, Kelenic is now hitting .283 (54-for-191) with 14 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 26 RBI, seven steals and 27 runs scored in 52 games. He's finishing the month of May strong, too, going 13-for-46 (.283) with three doubles, two home runs and five RBI in his last 12 games.
