Jarred Kelenic Goes Yard Twice Against Rangers
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic was one of the big bats in an offensive explosion between the Mariners and Texas Rangers on Thursday. Kelenic went 2-for-5 with two long balls, three RBI, three runs scored and two strikeouts in the 10-9 win over Texas. The 23-year-old left-handed slugger is hitting just .157/.222/.357 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 20 runs scored and five stolen bases in 153 plate appearances over 47 games in his second MLB season with Seattle. However, he's come alive since rejoining the team this month, going 8-for-27 (.296) with three homers, five RBI and eight runs scored in seven games played. Kelenic should continue to play every day for Seattle until Julio Rodriguez (back) returns from the injured list next week.
