Jameson Taillon Named Opening Day Starter
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon will start on Opening Day and will be followed in the rotation by Trevor Williams, Joe Musgrove and Chris Archer. The 27-year-old went 14-10 with a 3.20 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 in 32 starts (191 innings) in his third major league season for the Pirates. Taillon is a pitcher on the rise and will be a strong second fantasy starter that should be targeted around the ninth or 10th rounds of drafts. He'll get the Reds on the road in his first start of the season. That matchup will be a little more dicey in 2019 with Cincy's lineup a little more potent.
