James Robinson Won't Play This Weekend
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said that rookie running back James Robinson (ankle) will miss his second straight game in the Week 17 regular season finale against the Colts. The 22-year-old thoroughly impressed in his first year in the league on the NFL's worst team in 2020. He'll finish with 1,070 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 240 carries (4.5 yards per attempt) while also catching 49 passes for 344 yards and another three touchdowns. If Jacksonville can surround Robinson with more talent on offense, mainly under center, the Illinois State product could become a high-end RB1 for years to come. Dare Ogunbowale, who had 14 carries for 71 yards last week minus Robinson, should be the team's lead back once again in Week 17 against Indy. But against a strong Colts Defense and in a pretty bad offense, Ogunbowale will be a low-ceiling RB3/flex for fantasy managers.
