James Conner Struggles To Find Rushing Room In Week 3
3 months agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner struggled to get going in Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Detroit Lions. He rushed for just 17 yards on nine attempts while catching his only target for eight yards. The Cardinals' offense faced difficulties on the ground and frequently found themselves behind the chains. The veteran back had a season-low 10 touches, a sharp drop from the back-to-back games where he saw more than double that workload. While the Cardinals' ground game was largely ineffective, the team fell behind early and shifted to a pass-heavy approach, throwing on their final 18 plays. However, with the Cardinals expected to be favored in their next game against the Washington Commanders, Conner should have more opportunities to reestablish his role in the offense, so fantasy managers shouldn't panic just yet.
