Ja'Marr Chase Won't Go On Injured Reserve
2 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (hip) will not be placed on Injured Reserve, according to a source. The All-Pro second-year receiver sustained a hairline hip fracture and a torn labrum in last week's win over the Atlanta Falcons. It's a serious injury for the stud pass-catcher that will sideline him multiple weeks, but the Bengals will choose not to put him on IR, which would keep him out for at least the next four games. Cincy expects the 22-year-old to make a full recovery and return again this season, but it will be interesting to see how quickly he can get back up to speed. Fantasy managers need to stash him in all formats. In the meantime, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and tight end Hayden Hurst will see an increase in targets. Mike Thomas should also see more snaps as the No. 3 wideout, beginning Monday night against the Browns.
