Jalin Hyatt Has Been Impressive
1 year agoNew York Giants rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who the Giants traded up 16 spots for to select in the third round of this year's NFL draft, has met all of the team's challenges this summer in his first training camp. Hyatt has earned the trust of the coaching staff and his quarterbacks. The Giants expected his development to be a bit slower, but they always believed his elite speed would eventually take the top off defenses. The presence of the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is changing the look of how the Giants can threaten defenses. "You can see a lot of things that Jalin did [in college], and then you can look at a lot of different other areas [in his game], too," head coach Brian Daboll said. "But, yeah, glad we drafted him." The 21-year-old won't be drafted in most single-year fantasy leagues in 2023, but he has speed and explosiveness to carve out a bigger role as the season progresses.
