Jalen Reagor Expected To Become A Starter
Kendrick Bourne (knee) is done for the year with a torn ACL. Wideouts Jalen Reagor, rookie Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster are now the top three pass-catchers on the depth chart, with second-year receiver Tyquan Thornton and rookie Kayshon Boutte next in line. Thornton was a healthy scratch in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins, and Boutte has been inactive since Week 1. Reagor drew praise from head coach Bill Belichick for his work as a scout-team receiver and he was signed to the active roster last week. The speedy former first-rounder has a chip on his shoulder and feels like he has nothing to lose. Douglas is the more attractive fantasy dart throw off the waiver wire. He's a quick slot receiver whose playing time has spiked the last two weeks (13 targets).

Jalen Reagor Injured On Sunday Night
Jalen Reagor (finger) injured his finger on Sunday Night Football against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs and is considered questionable to return. Before getting hurt, Reagor was targeted just once and caught it for a gain of only four yards. In addition to Reagor, tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) was injured in the first half and is questionable to return. Leading receiver, rookie Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder), was inactive for the Week 14 contest, so LA's receiving corps has really thinned out on Sunday night. Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer are seeing more targets as a result, with Stone Smartt now serving as the top pass-catching tight end. If Reagor does not return, Derius Davis would be in line to be the WR3. Reagor entered Week 14 action with just six catches for 96 yards in seven games in 2024, so he hasn't been on the fantasy radar.

Jalen Reagor Elevated Ahead Of Week 8
Jalen Reagor has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The Chargers have decided to bring up both Reagor and Jaylen Johnson with multiple wideouts banged up. Right now, Quentin Johnston (ankle) is considered doubtful for Sunday while Ladd McConkey (hip) remains questionable for Sunday. Despite the injuries, it's hard to imagine Reagor or Johnson having a significant role in the offense. Both players are likely getting brought up as depth, so fantasy managers should look elsewhere for a streaming option for Sunday.

Chargers Sign Jalen Reagor To Practice Squad
Jalen Reagor to their practice squad on Monday, according to a source. The Chargers are adding some depth at the receiver position with DJ Chark (hip) currently on Injured Reserve and after Joshua Palmer (calf, elbow) missed the Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Reagor, a former first-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020 out of TCU, has not lived up to his draft stock in the NFL and failed to catch on with the New England Patriots out of training camp after catching only seven passes for 138 yards and no touchdowns in 11 games for the Pats in 2023. Even if Reagor joins the active roster for the Week 4 contest against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, he won't be a realistic fantasy option in his first game with LA. For now, he'll be WR depth behind Quentin Johnston and rookies Ladd McConkey and Brenden Rice.

Jalen Reagor Released By Patriots
Jalen Reagor was released by from the practice squad on Tuesday. Reagor had yet to play in a game this season and had voiced his frustrations on social media. The former first-round pick spent 2023 with the Patriots but only recorded seven receptions for 138 yards. Now Reagor will have to try to find a new home. Given his complete lack of involvement in the offense, this move has no implications for fantasy football.
