Jakobi Meyers 2021 Outlook: Ready For No. 1 Job?
3 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers led the team in receiving last season, finishing with 729 yards and catching 59 of his 81 targets. Though he didn't find the end zone, it was still good enough to surpass his ADP, primarily with the subpar passing ability of Cam Newton. Now, entering his third season, the 24-year-old will have a much more capable signal-caller under center in Alabama product, Mac Jones. He will also benefit from the retirement of Julian Edelman and the absence of N'Keal Harry (shoulder), who currently resides on the injured reserve list. While Jones is unproven at the professional level, Meyers is still worth a look in all fantasy formats. However, he likely won't do enough to be a consistent, every-week fantasy option, although he could be a serviceable option when the matchup is favorable during the 2021-22 campaign.
