Jake McGee Takes Loss In Extras

Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Jake McGee continues to struggle this season. On Monday night, he gave up a walk-off home run to Marcell Ozuna in the 10th inning to start the team's road trip, and that bumped his ERA back up to 6.11 for the year. It's been nearly two months since he's made four appearances in a row without giving up a run, and basically every advanced metric is worse than last year including strikeout rate, walk rate, strand rate, and HR/FB rate. McGee's struggles have been a microcosm of the Rockies bullpen as a whole seeing as how he was supposed to be one of the experienced and proven members who would help the team shut down the later innings of games but has instead been a catastrophic disappointment. He certainly should not be owned in fantasy leagues this year.
