8/7:Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Jake Junis watched five solid innings of one-run ball go up in smoke as Kevin McCarthy gave up a solo shot to the first batter he faced after relieving Junis. Junis only threw 87 pitches, but he was lifted a little early due to a rain delay that had occurred. At this point, it looks like Junis is a mediocre pitcher for a bad team, so he doesn't have much fantasy value except in moments of desperation. The eight strikeouts he racked up were only the second time he's topped five in his last five outings, so even plays for those are long shots.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
