Jake Fraley Sitting Against Left-Hander
2 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jake Fraley is not in the starting lineup on Monday against left-hander Drew Smyly and the Chicago Cubs. Catcher Tyler Stephenson is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup, while TJ Friedl is starting in right field and batting ninth. Luke Maile is doing the catching and is hitting seventh. The 27-year-old Fraley is likely going to start on the bench against southpaws for the Reds. He's off to a good start, though, going 4-for-9 with a double, homer, three RBI and two runs scored in his first three games. Friedl is 2-for-11 with a solo home run in his first three games. At the bottom of the batting order in a left-on-left matchup, Friedl should be ignored in DFS.
