Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Jake Faria allowed one run Saturday versus the Blue Jays. He only went 5 1/3 innings but left with the lead and the Rays would hold on, handing him his third victory of the season. It was his second strong outing in a row. In Faria's 86 2/3 innings in the majors during 2017, he struck out 84 batters while issuing only 31 walks. Perhaps the biggest concern is that he also gave up 11 home runs in those 86 2/3 innings. He has more solid outings than terrible ones. Faria is slated to be the third starter for the Rays and should be owned in most 12-team leagues.--Jamie MellorRead More News
