Jake Elliott’s Accuracy Concerns Loom Large
Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott will need to be at his best against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, but recent struggles raise concerns. Elliott finished the regular season with a solid 28-for-36 mark on field goals and nearly perfect extra-point accuracy (47-for-48). However, his issues from long range were evident, going just 1-for-7 on attempts from 50-plus yards. His postseason performance has been mixed, making six of seven field goals but missing three extra points -- an uncharacteristic trend that could be costly in a close game. Given how tight Super Bowl matchups can be, every point matters. If the game comes down to a clutch kick, the Eagles will need Elliott to shake off his recent inconsistencies.
