Jake Burger Goes Back on Injured List
Jake Burger (wrist) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a left-wrist sprain and recalled outfielder Alejandro Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News. Burger left the series finale on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays with a wrist sprain and will now miss at least the next 10 days for the scuffling Rangers. With the 29-year-old on the IL yet again this year, Rowdy Tellez should play first base against right-handed pitchers, with Ezequiel Duran starting there against lefties. Burger has been unable to stay healthy in 2025 and has been a disappointment in his first year in Texas after clubbing 29 long balls a year ago with Miami. He heads to the shelf with a .242/.275/.416 slash line, career-low .691 OPS, 12 home runs, 41 RBI and 36 runs in 84 games.
