Jaguars Re-Sign Tre Herndon
4 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars re-signed third-year cornerback Tre Herndon to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday. Herndon has appeared in 43 games and made 26 starts in his three-year career in Jacksonville. He made the opening day roster in 2018 as an undrafted rookie and played in all 16 games in 2019 and 2020. Herndon had a career-high 76 tackles in 16 games (12 starts) last season and started 14 of 16 games in 2019 while registering 54 tackles, 13 passes defensed and three interceptions. In his time at Vanderbilt in college, the 25-year-old had 126 tackles, 25 passes defensed and two interceptions in 48 career games (36 starts).
