NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars are interviewing Minnesota Vikings defensive passing-game coordinator and defensive-backs coach Daronte Jones for their defensive-coordinator position on Monday morning, according to a source. It will be the team's first interview as they search to fill the position. Jones was the top defensive assistant on defensive coordinator Brian Flores' staff in Minnesota in 2024. Before joining the Vikings for his second stint in 2022, Jones was with LSU in 2021. He originally entered the NFL coaching ranks in 2016-17 as an assistant defensive-backs coach for the Miami Dolphins, and Jones has also worked as a secondary coach for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2018-19. The Vikings improved drastically in the secondary in 2024 under Jones and led the NFL with 21 forced fumbles.--Keith Hernandez
