Jackson Kowar To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
9 months agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Jackson Kowar is set to undergo Tommy John surgery after feeling soreness in his right arm. The 27-year-old went to see a doctor to check on his arm issues a few days ago and the end result concludes his 2024 season before it began. Acquired in a trade with the Braves this winter, Kowar struggled to a 6.43 ERA across 23 outings with the Royals in the 2023 season while also posting a 5.96 ERA in 45 1/3 frames at the Triple-A level. A 2018 Competitive Balance first-round pick, Kowar is likely to miss a decent chunk of the 2025 season, as well.
