Jack Suwinski Takes A Seat Against Lefty
1 year agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jack Suwinski will retreat to the bench on Tuesday with the team facing left-hander David Peterson and the New York Mets. Joshua Palacios will get the start in center field and will bat seventh in the order. The left-handed-hitting Suwinski has just five hits (one home run) in 77 at-bats against left-handers this season. He's provided plenty of pop for fantasy managers with 21 home runs in just his second major-league season after hitting 19 in his rookie campaign, but he's batting only .209 (67-for-321) with 53 RBI, eight stolen bases and 46 runs scored. The 25-year-old has been awful since the All-Star break, going 10-for-78 (.128) with two homers, five doubles, five RBI, 34 strikeouts, a steal and six runs scored in 25 games (21 starts).
