J.T. Realmuto Taking The Day Off Sunday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto is taking the day off on Sunday as the team faces the Pittsburgh Pirates. Garrett Stubbs will do the catching and will bat eighth in the lineup against Pirates veteran left-hander Rich Hill. Realmuto will take a seat in the series finale after going 3-for-15 with a double and two RBI in the last four games. The 32-year-old backstop is currently hitting .242/.304/.448 with 12 home runs, 22 doubles, five triples, 42 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 44 runs scored in 92 games over 367 plate appearances. He's hit just .236 (17-for-72) in the month of July, but he does have four home runs, three doubles, 14 RBI, two stolen bases and 14 runs scored in 20 games, so fantasy managers can't really complain at the weakest position in the game.
